The Inve$t in Her Future panel features two leaders in investment banking:
Andrea is the Learning & Development Specialist at abrdn, a global investment company. She is responsible for delivering training initiatives for the Americas region and managing the intern and early careers program. She has over 8 years of experience in HR in the financial services industry, along with 3 years of experience in career services at Temple University, Fox School of Business. She graduated from Rowan University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and received a master’s degree in Business Analytics from Temple University.
Qie is an Investment Director on the North American Equity team at abrdn. In this role, Qie analyzes current and prospective investments and co-manages client portfolios. She is the Telecom, Media, Internet and Fintech sector analyst for the team. Qie joined abrdn in 2008 upon receiving her MBA degree from Columbia University. She previously worked for Bloomberg LP. Qie graduated with a BA from Franklin & Marshall College in Biology and Psychology. She is a CFA charterholder. Following the panel discussion and Q&A there is an opportunity for virtual networking with each panelist! Inve$t in Her Future: Inspiring young women to pursue a career in the investment management industry Misperceptions of the investment management industry and other obstacles may be preventing women from seeking investment management employment. The Taskforce has created the Inve$t in Her Future program to address these issues directly with current university students. By sharing the breadth of career opportunities available along with the wide ranging skill sets that make individuals successful, we endeavor to create momentum for change.
